The manpower behind a really bad advert is amazing. You might think it can't get worse. I can assure you that with the support of a financially strong client it can get far worse. The impact on the ordinary population is one thing but what is with the poor guys who are inventing this absurdities?
Since nearly twenty years I work now in commercial communication. Agencies in Germany, Poland, Hungary and Czech where so nice to let me work on clients known even in Kazakhstan. One of my last assignments was three years in Moscow. I can assure you that the entertainment value was simple beyond imagination.
The cartoons started to be for my colleagues whom if not themselves the reason for a particular cartoon where for sure involved. Some of them appeared in trade magazines most of them not.
Every time I started in a new market and country it was just a question of a few days and I could listen in every place to the nearly identical line: "This will not work here! We are different".
This was not the only thing we have all in common.
